The Rubber Seal requirements

Following shared by Single Wire Seal Manufacturer.

(1) when installing, using and removing the cable pipe hole sealing device, it shall not cause corrosion or mechanical damage to qualified cables in contact with it.

(2) the pipe holes of 35kV and above power cables shall be sealed on both sides of the pipe holes by flexible sealing method. The sealing flange shall be embedded on both sides of the cable pipe hole, and the water-resistant rubber gasket clamped between the fastening flange and flange plate cover shall be expanded under pressure by fastening the bolt nut to realize the sealing of pipe hole.

(3) when power cables of 10kV and below enter (exit) pipe holes, flexible sealing method should be adopted to seal them on both sides of the pipe holes. The flexible sealing flange is installed on both sides of the cable pipe hole. By fastening the bolt and nut, the water-blocking rubber plug sandwiched between the flange is inflated by pressure to realize the sealing of the pipe hole. One end of the hook is hung on the hole wall of the cable pipe, and the other end is fixed on the fastening bolt, so as to ensure that when the side facing the water bears a large water pressure, the hook can help assume the role of water pressure and prevent water pressure from pressing the sealing flange into the pipe hole.

(4) when a 10kV single-core cable does not pass through the same pipe hole in three phases at the same time, the metal material of the flexible sealing device shall not be a closed loop structure, otherwise the metal material shall be non-ferromagnetic material to prevent eddy current damage of the cable caused by the metal material of the sealing device.

(5) flexible sealing flanges should be used to seal the interlayer side of transformer substation room and the side of the first working well outside the station. In order to reduce the influence of leakage on other power pipes, flexible sealing flange should be used to seal the pipe holes in the working Wells on both sides of the leakage pipe. When there is leakage in the electric power exhaust pipe into the well of electric power equipment foundation, it is necessary to plug the pipe hole on the seepage side of the well of electric power equipment foundation. When the power exhaust pipe is connected with the power tunnel, the pipe hole on the tunnel side of the power exhaust pipe and the tunnel side of the first working well connected with the power exhaust pipe should be blocked. Other pipe holes may not be plugged.
